Family Water Fitness
A water workout that challenges your cardiovascular fitness,strength and range of motion. Participants must be 10years or older to attend.

A water workout that challenges your cardiovascular fitness while taking it easy on your joints.
Water Exercise
A shallow water workout for every part of your body. You do not have to be a swimmer to participate. A low impact way to improve flexibility, agility, and fitness. This class consists of low to moderate cardiovascular work, strengthening, and stretching.
Water Walking
Gentle water exercise using resistance tools. Exercises are designed to improve endurance, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. Perfect for those who are recovering from surgery, injury, or with a low fitness level.
Boot Camp
Boot Camp is the ultimate circuit workout combining intervals of cardio and muscle conditioning drills.
Hip Hop Dance Aerobics

A creative class that incorporates pilates, yoga and strength moves while using a swiss ball. This low impact class is excellent for toning, core strength, and increasing flexibility and balance.
The Silver Sneakers
Our newest class offering! Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activity for daily living skills. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; a chair is used for seated and/or standing support
SilverSneakers Cardio Circuit
The format offers a blend of standing non-impact choreography designed to increase cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength and endurance alternated with upper body strength work.

Submission Grappling
Submission Grappling or No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu is a combination of all the grappling arts like; American Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. Sumission Grappling focuses on the aspects needed in close combat sports like Mix Martial Arts, where the object is to win by submission. Also, the competitors are wearing only shorts or shorts and a t-shirt and cannot use the gi for opponent control, so they need to learn how to use body control to win. This is an exciting class for all levels of athletes, whether you are looking for conditioning, self-defense or technical skills for competitive combat sports.

Yoga
Ancient fitness with a modern twist! Yoga is gentle, non-impact, non-regimented form of exercise that is suitable for all fitness levels. Sessions last five weeks and require sign up at the front desk prior to first class. Classes meet in the Tae Kwon Do Room.

The Danville YMCA offers three fitness programs to introduce you to our equipment and facility. With the knowledgable and helpful staff at the YMCA you will be well on your way to a healthy new you.
FitStart Personal Fitness Program (PFP)
Are you new to fitness and need a crash course in equipment usage and basic fitness guidelines? Are you curious about the Life Fitness equipment, but unsure of how to utilize it? Then PFP is for you! This program is FREE to all members and consists of four one-on-one appointments with our Fitness Staff to provide instruction and guidance on the strengthtraining and cardio equipment. Call 442-0563, ext 17 to set up your appointment today.
PFP is a FREE program for members and meeting times are decided by you and your trainer. (subject to availability)
Personal Training
Personal training helps those who need extra motivation, discipline or fitness related education. You will be working one-on-one with a certified trainer that will take you through each phase of your program. You graduate when you are able to work on your own, or your goals are met. The first step in getting set up with a personal trainer will be to make an appointment for a fitness assessment. Members may do so by contacting Jessica or Abby at 442-0563 ext. 17 or 30. The assessment will need to be done prior to your first personal training appointment. Participants will be able to purchase one session, 3 sessions or 10 session package. The days and times you meet will be between you and your trainer and are subject to availability.
