Lifeguarding Class

Spring 2010 Lifeguarding Course

Active Older Adult Days - Lunch & Brunch

Active Older Adults …Be our guest on the following days for fun, food and fellowship. Older Adults (Age 65 and better) can visit the Y at no charge, workout in the Glen Murphy Wellness Center, participate in Water Exercise or Silver Sneakers Class. Enjoy lunch, games or guest speakers. Special days coming up are on Wednesdays, February 10th and April 14th. Members bring a friend or two!

Home School PE

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 12:30 - 2:00pm
Fridays: 1:30 - 2:30pm

The YMCA provides Physical Education opportunities in a variety of areas for children who are homeschooled. Homeschoolers will work towards attaining a fitness level that complies with the President’s Fitness Challenge; engage in structured age-appropriate group activities and games. Personal Fitness Programs

Kick start your finess goals with help from the Danville YMCA staff!

The Danville YMCA offers three fitness programs to introduce you to our equipment and facility. With the knowledgable and helpful staff at the YMCA you will be well on your way to a healthy new you.

FitStart Personal Fitness Program (PFP)

Are you new to fitness and need a crash course in equipment usage and basic fitness guidelines? Are you curious about the Life Fitness equipment, but unsure of how to utilize it? Then PFP is for you! This program is FREE to all members and consists of four one-on-one appointments with our Fitness Staff to provide instruction and guidance on the strengthtraining and cardio equipment. Call 442-0563, ext 17 to set up your appointment today.

PFP is a FREE program for members and meeting times are decided by you and your trainer. (subject to availability)

Personal Training

Personal training helps those who need extra motivation, discipline or fitness related education. You will be working one-on-one with a certified trainer that will take you through each phase of your program. You graduate when you are able to work on your own, or your goals are met. The first step in getting set up with a personal trainer will be to make an appointment for a fitness assessment. Members may do so by contacting Jessica or Abby at 442-0563 ext. 17 or 30. The assessment will need to be done prior to your first personal training appointment. Participants will be able to purchase one session, 3 sessions or 10 session package. The days and times you meet will be between you and your trainer and are subject to availability.

Teens in Training

Members ages 10-14 can learn to use the Life Fitness equipment, get fit, and have fun! Four one-on-one appointments with cover basic fitness concepts, proper use of equipment, and Fitness Center conduct. Call 442-0563 ext 17 to set up an appointment.
